Huion KAMVAS 20 Drawing Pen Display Graphics Monitor

Best Affordable Drawing Tablet with a Large Screen

The Kamvas 20 is a slightly cheaper version of the Kamvas Pro. So, it’s excellent for anyone on a tighter budget!

This pen display still comes with an FHD anti-glare screen. The main distinction is that it’s not fully laminated. If you’re confused about what this means, I’ll quickly explain in this Huion tablet review.

A fully laminated screen reduces any air gaps between the layers of glass that make up the screen. This is also known as parallax. These tiny gaps cause light to bounce off the screen and slightly reduce the pen’s accuracy. When comparing the Kamvas with the Kamvas Pro, the Pro comes out on top for precision.

But it shouldn’t be a massive issue for most users unless you’re very concerned about accuracy. The Kamvas 20 is fine for beginner to intermediate artists. But if you do premium design work, you may want to consider one of the tablets with a laminated screen.

There are lots of other reasons to go for the Kamvas 20! It maximizes your drawing space without breaking the bank, so there are no limits to what you create.

It still comes with the amazing battery-free pen, 1920 x 1080 display, and vivid colors. It’s easy to create detailed drawings, thanks to the pressure and tilt sensitivity.

The Huion Kamvas 20 is one of the best drawing tablets with a large screen available for a reasonable price. If you’re looking for value for money and a good drawing experience, you’ll love this tablet!

Size: 18.7 x 11.7 inches
Active Drawing Area: 17 x 9.3 inches
Resolution: 1920 x 1080 pixels, 5080 LPI
Pen Pressure Sensitivity: 8,192 levels

  • This tablet provides a huge space to work on and great value for money
  • The FHD anti-glare screen is easy to draw on and protects your eyes

Best Compact Mid-Range Tablet

Huion KAMVAS Pro 12 Drawing Tablet with Screen Graphics - Best Compact Mid-Range Tablet

The Huion Kamvas Pro 12 is another excellent option for artists and designers. At just 12 inches, it’s very compact and easy to carry with you. But it provides all the top features you’d expect from a Kamvas Pro model.

That includes a fully laminated screen with anti-glare protection. It also has a wide color gamut and reduced parallax.

So, this Huion pen tablet compares favorably against more expensive Wacom products.

It’s also small enough to take anywhere, but it has a robust, sturdy build. It feels durable and high-quality, so you don’t need to worry about it breaking.

You can easily slip it into your laptop bag to take to work. But it’s not a standalone tablet, as you still need to connect it with the laptop. The 3-in-1 cable is a nice addition, as it keeps your desktop neat and clutter-free.

The Kamvas Pro range is the first Huion product to have tilt recognition. This feature allows you to have greater accuracy as you draw. When you tilt the pen, the Huion drawing software alters the thickness of the line. As a result, it feels more natural – like you’re drawing with a real pen or pencil

Other welcome features are the four programmable buttons. With these, you can set up shortcuts to frequently used tools to streamline your workflow. But other models do have more hotkeys, so you’ll need to pick carefully on the Kamvas Pro 12.

You can also use the handy slider to zoom in or change brush size. Plus, it’s quick and easy to set up. These little features show the level of thought that has gone into this tablet. Huion has thought through every aspect of the user experience, and it’s paid off.

The Huion Kamvas Pro 12 is an excellent compact drawing tablet. It provides everything you need to draw accurately and produce beautiful artwork! At this size, it’s easy to travel with, but you don’t lose any accuracy or definition. So overall, it’s a winner!

Size: 13.7 x 7.8 inches

Best Low-Mid Range Drawing Tablet with a Screen

The Huion Kamvas Pro 13 is the second-smallest tablet in the Kamvas range, but it has a lot going for it.

Compared to the Kamvas 12, the extra inch of the screen makes a big difference. It gives you more room to work on your designs, so you need to do less adjusting and zooming in and out.

While it’s slightly more expensive than the smaller version, it’s worth investing a bit more if you need more space. The 1920 x 1080 fully laminated screen is sharp and crisp, so your designs will look amazing.

This tablet has a slim build but feels sturdy, thanks to the silver metal covering. It should last a good while and withstand lots of regular use. It’s also extremely lightweight, making it perfect for commuting or traveling.

As with the other models, the Kamvas Pro 13 comes with the PW507 Huion pen. It boasts 5080 LPI and 8192 pressure levels, as well as tilt recognition.

The pen moves smoothly across the matte screen with just the right amount of texture. (No reflections from the screen make it gentler on your eyes, too).

While this tablet can have over-saturated colors and high contrast, that’s easily fixed. All you need to do is check the settings against your computer screen and adjust accordingly.

The Pro 13 has four programmable buttons for you to create custom shortcuts. While this number is a little limited compared to models with more hotkeys, it’s still a nice feature.

The Kamvas Pro 13 is an excellent little drawing tablet. If you need to work from home and the office, it’s ideal due to its lightweight, slim build. But it also has a gorgeous, high-definition screen, bright colors, and great responsiveness.

If you want that extra inch of screen and have the wiggle room in your budget, then without a doubt, go for the Kamvas Pro 13.

Size: 15.2 x 8.6 inches
Active Drawing Area: 11.56 x 6.5 inches

Huion Inspiroy H640P Graphics Drawing Tablet

Best Budget Huion Graphic Tablet

Huion Inspiroy H640P Graphics Drawing Tablet - Best Budget Huion Graphic Tablet

The Inspiroy H640P is about as cheap as drawing tablets come. But don’t write it off because of the price! At well under $50, it’s even cheaper than the Huion HP10 Pro. This tablet is a bargain, but it still packs a lot of features.

The most important thing to note is that the Inspiroy H640P doesn’t have a screen. You’ll have to connect it with your computer to see your designs, as it’s not a standalone product.

In my opinion, this factor creates a steeper learning curve as you adapt to looking from one screen to the other. It can be a little disjointed at first, and some artists will find it annoying.

But once you get used to the workflow, you can produce beautiful artwork on this graphic tablet.

This tablet is slim and compact, making it perfect if you need to travel. Don’t forget that you’ll need your laptop too, though!

It has six programmable hotkeys, so you can create useful shortcuts that will save you time.

You get a 6.3 x 3.9-inch workspace to draw on, which is a little limited. You may struggle to draw more intricate designs or flowing pen strokes.

When it comes to the drawing itself, the H460P doesn’t disappoint. It’s super responsive and comes with that great Huion battery-free pen. You also get 8192 pressure levels and no lag, so you can draw with confidence and precision.

If you need a compact tablet for a beginner artist, the Huion Inspiroy H460P is a no-brainer. It’s such a bargain that you won’t need to worry about your bank account. So, it’s the perfect tablet for trying out digital art or for students on a tight budget.

Buying Guide for the Best Huion Drawing Tablet

You’ll know more about the options available from the Huion drawing tablet. But there are a few things to think about before you splurge on any tablet to make sure you’re buying the right one.

What You Need to Know Before Buying A Huion Drawing Tablet

A few essential factors make a drawing tablet good (or great!) Keep these things in mind as you shop around for your next drawing tablet.

Screen Quality

The screen is a crucial element of any drawing tablet. You should look for a high-definition screen with at least 1920 x 1080 pixels. That will ensure that even your most detailed designs look crystal-clear and crisp.

Another thing to think of is the color gamut. This feature will tell you how many different colors the tablet can display. The wider the color gamut, the brighter and more vibrant your artwork will look. It will also seem more natural or true-to-life.

A final factor that affects the screen quality is the build of the screen itself. Some models (often more expensive tablets) will have a laminated screen. That cuts down on parallax and improves your accuracy and control over the pen.

If you check the specifications for each tablet, you should see a response time. The smaller the response time, the quicker the tablet will respond to the pen moving on the screen.

A response time of 25 or 30 ms is fine for most artists. Some tablets offer a response time as low as 8 or 9 ms, but you may not even notice the difference.

Tilt Recognition

Look out for tablets with tilt recognition, as this feature allows you to draw more naturally. It refers to the software picking up on the angle of the pen as you draw.

The more you tilt the pen, the thicker a line will create – like with a real pencil or pen. If you want your drawing experience to feel as smooth and intuitive as possible, don’t skip this feature.

Pressure Levels

Pressure sensitivity is another vital factor in picking out a good drawing tablet. This figure tells you how sensitive the tablet is to pressure from the pen

So if you push down harder with your pen, the line will come out darker. If you want a very light line, you can apply minimal pressure.

I recommend going for a tablet that has at least 4096 pressure levels. That tends to be standard for most tablets nowadays, although some will have 8092 or more.

Size & Weight

Don’t forget to consider what size tablet you need. Do you need to travel often with your tablet or commute back and forth from work? Or will you use the tablet only at your home office or desk?

These questions will help you decide whether you want a compact 12-inch tablet. But if you plan to work from one place, you can go all out and get a larger 20 or 22-inch tablet.

The weight is also a key factor in whether a tablet is portable. Make sure to double-check before you buy! While many tablets are slim and lightweight, some are surprisingly heavy!
