How To Draw: The Weekly Drawing Challenge

Drawing is a fantastic habit that can help you relax, destress, and release your creativity. To give you some inspiration and help you develop your drawing skills, I am creating a new drawing challenge for you!

1. The Weekly Drawing Challenge

If you’re looking to learn how to draw, you’ve come to the right place. Every week, for one year, I will release a new drawing tutorial to get your creative juices flowing. I’ll cover exciting topics and easy drawing ideas like facial features, animals, people, flowers, and much more.

2. What’s in it For You?

You can take part in this drawing challenge to increase your skills and have some fun. I’ll use my years of experience as an artist and graphic designer to walk you, step by step, through the skills you’ll need to create amazing drawings. From line drawings to shading to how to draw complicated subjects, as well as simple objects like book drawing, we’ll cover it all. I’ll also show you how to color with colored pencils. (Check my recommendations below for the best colored pencils and artist tools to stock up on!)

Here are some of my own drawings from my sketchbook, to give you a taster for what is to come.

Whether you’re a complete beginner or a more experienced artist, I’d love for you to take part in this challenge. You’ll find a new drawing tutorial every week to have a go at. When you’ve finished, share it with us – we’d love to see what you’ve created!

3. The List of Tutorials

Here is the first set of tutorials that I’m working on for you!

Don’t forget to bookmark this page, as I’ll be adding the links here each week. Why not drop me a comment or an email to let me know which tutorials you’re most looking forward to! If you have any other suggestions or ideas for more tutorials, send them in too.

4. The Best Artist Tools

As you work on the tutorials, you’ll want the best artist tools out there to create beautiful illustrations. There are some excellent quality materials around, but by far the best-colored pencils are Faber Castell colored pencils. You’ll get incredible, professional-looking results when you use these pencils, made just for pencil art.

I’d love to hear what you think about this post in the comment section below. Thanks for reading!
